LG BP50NB40 - why to BP60NB firmware?

Just wondering what the benefit of upgading the BP50NB40 from the BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK to BP60NB10 1.02MK would be?

Does it essentially make the BP50NB40 perform as a BP60NB10?

Correct. Therefore it can be used to rip UHD.
