Hardware Requirements & Intro Questions

#1 Post by Freddy18 » Tue Nov 01, 2022 3:14 pm

Hello,

I have been ripping my DVD collection successfully and want to get into Blurays and UHD. On Billy's selling flashed UHD drives page, he mentions PC playback requirements. Are these the same requirements for ripping the UHD disks or just playing the file on my computer afterward?

When I rip the UHD disk will I be able to stream from my synology nas using Plex?

How do I confirm that I am purchasing a BU40N drive? I was looking into purchasing this drive https://www.amazon.com/Archgon-Premium- ... 447&sr=8-6 ... will that be sufficient?

Just want to make sure it works like I think it does before I purchase the new drive.

Best - Freddy

Will the UHD rips be able to stream from my plex server? I am running it on a synology NAS.

Really appreciate the help.

This is an unsolicited endorsement of billy carlton and his work selling fully 4K functional drives!
This will be the third one I've purchased from him and I can't say enough nice things about him.
He does fantastic work, ships REALLY fast and is easy to work with.

Rock on man!
