Hello
I bought a USB3.0 4K Blu-Ray drive and now wanted to read 4K movies on my PC, but I always get an error message.
Research in the forum has shown that the drive requires an update of the firmware.
1 question
in the mk-firmware-pack-20190319 is in the folder BU40N-N the same revision number (1.02) in it as in the drive?
2nd question
can you upgrade a USB 3.0 drive at all the firmware, if so how?

3.Frage
Which drives are Libredrive compatible?
so the Makemkv 4K UHD can read?

Sorry for the bad english, google translator helped me.
Kind regards

Hi,

For your BU40N, download the ASUS flasher + firmwares from the OP in thread https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 16&t=18933. You should be able to flash DE BU40N 1.00 to your drive.

Some USB enclosures do allow drives to be flashed but you won't know until you try. If you get an error, let us know.
Cheers :D
