Buffalo MediaStation BRXL-16U3 USB 3.0, Help Needed
Hi Everyone, I purchased the Buffalo MediaStation BRXL-16U3 USB 3.0 External Blu-ray Burner, I opened up the External enclosure to get the drive info and it is the LG Model: BH16NS58 (AXJA3HB) ROM VER: 1.03, DRIVE REV: A0, MANUFACTURED: OCTOBER 2024, I Would like to know what is the correct loader and the correct 1.02 firmware to unlock the drive for ripping uhd on a Windows 10 PC and Windows 10 Laptop, also can I do this flash with USB 3.0 Or will I need to do this through the SATA, also is the factory external case suitable or should I put it in a better external enclosure, and if so what is the best enclosure to put it in. Thank You everyone,

No need to mess with anything. Just connect the enclosure USB and flash it.
Cheers

Re: Buffalo MediaStation BRXL-16U3 USB 3.0, Help Needed
I purchased the Buffalo MediaStation BRXL-16U3 USB 3.0 External Blu-ray Drive, and drive info are follows:
Drive Information
OS device name: P:
Current profile: DVD-ROM
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BH16NS58
Revision: 1.03
Serial number: KLQOBxxxxxx
Firmware date: 2120-05-08 09:33
Bus encryption flags: 1F
Highest AACS version: 82
LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959
To make it a UHD readable, should I flash it using
1. SDFtool Flasher v1.3.6
2. HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BH16NS60-1.02-NM00600-212005081014.bin (found in a folder MK/HL-DT-ST/BH16NS60) or a different FW?
I have MakeMKV 1.18.3 installed. Should I downgrade it to 1.17.7 it before flashing?

Thank you for clarification regarding MakeMKV.
To confirm, for a Model BH16NS58 Rev. 1.03; it is recommended to use BH16NS60-1.02
(P.S. I saw a folder for BH16NS58 with BH16NS58-1.01 in it.)

Thank you, Billycar11.
Flashing went flawlessly on Windows 11 PC, and UHD reading works.
The only thing I hope is for these Hitachi-LG drives inside Buffalo case to last.
