Is there something on the drive side or software side on MSFT keeping the drive from UHD rips? I ask because without modding I ripped the 4k UHD version of the Abyss, just didn't use MakeMKV to do so. Used Power2Go13 backup software.
I was looking into making a drive region free so i can build a region-less dvd or blu-ray player utilizing something like a raspberry pi and a portable drive. I stumbled upon MAKemkv which I already use a one of many tools. But I'm wondering where the discrepancy is between the drive when the article was created and the drive today regarding windows 11.
Or did I just have a fluke with creating this 90+gig ISO file?
BP60NB10 does it really need flashed firmware?

Does your backup even work? Does that software even remove AACS encryption? There's no mention of it. Since it is from Cyberlink, I seriously doubt it and you probably wasted your time.evilcrusher wrote: ↑Mon Nov 17, 2025 7:45 amIs there something on the drive side or software side on MSFT keeping the drive from UHD rips? Anyway, all good ripping software doesn't care about region coding and either removes it or ignores it when ripping, including MakeMKV.
Cheers
