LG Drive not working

Post by Movie2099 »

Hello, wondering if anybody else has ever experienced this issue. I just purchased an LG drive, flashed it and everything worked. I was ripping 4k's all day, everything was going great until now. It's only been 2 weeks since I got the drive, but it no longer wants to read any blu ray or 4k. Every time I put a disc in it just say's "no disc". The drive won't even try to load disc anymore. It's like it realizes it's a blu ray or 4k and just stops. I put in a disc lens cleaner in and that worked fine, but it will not accept any movie disc. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Return it. It#s still in warranty. LG drives tend to die early.

Have you power cycled the drive? If it is in an external enclosure, power it off and wait 10 or 15 seconds before powering it back on.

If after a power cycle, it still doesn't work, then I agree with returning it as Coopervid suggests. Lately LG drives have been known to die early.
