Looking for a new drive - UK based
Hi all, I'm in the market for a new external UHD drive to rip my films to Plex. I currently have a BU40N but I'm finding it really temperamental. I'm based in the UK, can anyone point me in the direction of a good drive?

The Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide includes not only a list of drives that can work with MakeMKV, but it also includes a list of sellers that will sell you flashed and tested drive. In the UK, you want to talk to Asmcom: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=19387
The BU40N is considered a pretty good drive. The Pioneer drives are pretty good too. However, recently Pioneer released a firmware update that makes the drives incompatible with MakeMKV for the moment. A fix is currently being worked on.
