Just some clarification on my drives

Post by jcdick1 »

I have two drives:

Code: Select all

Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BDDVDRW UH12NS40
Revision: 1.01
And

Code: Select all

Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: BW-16D1HT
Revision: 3.02
From these old stock firmware revisions, are there any special steps needed for flashing? Or can I just go straight to the latest MK firmware in the ZIP?

Thanks!

What additional information is needed, and what would be the best way to get it? It's never been flashed, and the firmware date is

"Firmware date: 2117-11-15 17:16"

So I guess its a time-traveling drive.

Since you said it may not need to be flashed, I tried my Sherlock Holmes 4K and MakeMKV reports "no disc".

Thanks!
