WH14NS40 Compatibility with UHD

Hi, noob here. I purchased a WH14NS40 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007VPGL5U) and used MakeMKV to rip a whole bunch of DVDs and standard Blu-Ray discs for my personal emby server. I did not know 4k Blu-Ray discs existed until after I purchased the drive and I am interested in buying some movies in that format. Is it possible for me to rip 4k UHD discs using this specific drive? The guides made me very wary of trying to flash firmware without checking thoroughly. I have attached a screenshot of MakeMKV with drive information if that helps. Thanks

Yep, that drive is flashable to enable UHD ripping. Your drive does currently have encrypted firmware on it though. The recommended firmware for that model is WH16NS60 1.02-MK.

If you are not sure about doing it yourself, you can get yourself a 'Single Drive Flasher' (choose the WH16NS60_1.02-MK one) from my new website (link in my signature) which will automatically perform the required checks for you before flashing the drive. All you need to do is select your drive in the dropdownbox and click "START".
