LG WH16NS40 good for retro consoles?

Is a LG WH16NS40 good for burning game for old consoles, like PC Engine CD, Sega CD, PS1, etc? I heard that you want to write at a slow 4x speed for these old consoles. Can the LG LG WH16NS40 do this suitably?
