First off, I do hope I am posting this in the correct place. And then, very sorry if I am overlooking information, I have been looking for entry's on updating the ASUS BW-16D1X-U USB connected blue ray.
Drive Information
OS device name: G:
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: BW-16D1X-U
Revision: E111
Firmware date: 2017-12-21
Bus encryption flags: 1B
Highest AACS version: 68
-------------------------------
LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8601
Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-209
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: E111/ID76
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes
-------------------------------
I see some say the drive is not able to be unlocked, Some say I need to downgrade to this and then upgrade to that, but nothing that my Spock like mind can understand....
I tried the GUI and tried to backup the drive BIOS and I get
" The drive you have selected dose not have the correct drive platform (MT1959)"
On the GUI, I see a red X next to MT1959.
Am I missing documentation on this?
