Hi guys,
I've just fitted an LG WH16NS40 in my pc which arrived about 1 hour ago. ON the sticker, it says manufactured October 2022, Rom version is 1.05.
I've attempted to follow the ultimate flashing thread: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634 - from this, I've downloaded the "Downgrade enabled Firmware v.2" pack and attempted to use the app after selecting the DE_flash_HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_WH16NS40_1.02_NS50.bin firmware, but I get a "CheckSum is mismatched. Drive will go to BOOT mode Please retry again. (screenshot attached.)
I haven't fiddled any further than this as the post appears to be fully up to date, has anyone got any advice for me with this error? The drive does work with CDs, DVDs and normal blurays. It definitely does require flashing for UHD discs (obviously!). I have looked for this error with this firmware version/manufacturing date combination but I've not found anything useful.
Checksum is mismatched error. WH16NS40 NS50, 1.05 Rom.

1st post of the Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023 advises:
WH16NS40 on any Firmware directly to > WH16NS60 1.02MK (NOT DE, link in post #1)
Also, 2020+ FW is encrypted so your only options are command line flashing, or SDFtool Flasher.
Read the 1st post of the guide more carefully.
