I have used MakeMKV for years ripping DVD and bluray movies without issue and have been vey happy with the results.
However got a new media streamer that supports 4K and got new UHD drive to start ripping.
Firstly I got - Archgon Style external 4K-UHD reader:

Went to rip both Mulan and Fifth Element and both gave same error:
Code: Select all
Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT ESTABLISHED' occurred while issuing SCSI command AD010..080002400 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom1'
Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive
Saved AACS dump file as C:\Users\surface/.MakeMKV/MKB20_v70_The_Fifth_Element_-_4K_UHD_B513.tgz
LibreDrive compatible drive is required to open this disc - video can't be decrypted.

However I get the same errors:
If I do need to flash it where the flashing firmware is located (I have read various threads on here about firmware versions but cannot find any links to where these are stored or how to download?
Any help on this would really be appreciated.
