Re: Pioneer BDR-S09XLT LibreDrive ready but not ripping UHD-discs
No worries in the near future will be found a work around, maybe the officials of Pioneer will create a new update, and let the drive to read UHD like in the beginning when the drive could read it, because not many people buy UHD, and I don't think the fate of UHD Blu-ray will not be a good one, because most of the people just watch the stream services it's easier after a hard work day, I mean just the collectors like me watch now the UHD Blu-ray, the people that appreciate real quality, so I wish to you guys good luck in the future in finding a work around for this, what it's confusing to me it's you said if the drive it's released prior October 2015 the flash will not work. Anyway I can't spend 25 dollars even if you could help me, because I bought the drive with 60 dollars, and also I already have another drive Asus bw-16d1ht and that one I received it already flashed and works, so I will just keep one for burning and the other one for watching 4k Blu-ray, the Asus bw-16d1ht cost me 50 dollars, what can I surely say is japanese people really take care of their products Pioneer have a 2023 firmware update, and the other drive doesn't have a new firmware from long time ago, so I wish you all good luck in what you do and keep up the good work, you do an amazing job, they can jailbreak Nintendo Switch with chip so I'm sure in the future they will learn how to flash a drive with any firmware version.
