Is it possible to update ASUS drive (SBW-06D5H-U) based on platform RS8511(PIONEER BDR-US03) so that it works with UHD discs?
I'd appreciate it if you help me with this problem.
Thank you.

I'm new here and I've literally just received a Verbatim drive today with a view to setting up a home media server.
The drive shows as a Pioneer BDR-UD03, same as the post above and won't read 4K bluerays when inserted.
Is there a patch available for this please?

I think I might actually return this.
It’s actually the Verbatim 43889 and I have just read that I would need the 43888 for 4k compatibility.

I have had a Pioneer BDR-UD03FAL sitting around, I managed to get a case for it. It looks like I need to cross flash it (to a UD04?) in order for it to read Blu-Rays?
See attached MakeMKV output, and I have a PC to do any required flashing.
