If you are willing to risk bricking it, give it a go but in general, those with SVC NB40 / EB40 shouldn't be flashed, even if manufactured after October 2015. In the past I had a BP55EB40, built April or May 2016. MT1959 and go..... and bricked because there was no BU40N inside but a BU20N.

I have this drive, 2017, rom 1.00, svc eb40, and crossflashed it a while back (couple years, maybe); can't remember any warning about risk of bricking it, back then, but, for what's worth, it's working, though I havent't tried any uhd media - or any bd, for that matter (barely use it)...
