./sdftool rawflash enc --drive=HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BU40N_1.02_212012011716_MO6M2QB3331 --sdf-file=/Users/username/Downloads/The\ all\ you\ need\ firmware\ pack/LG\ slim\ BU40N/sdf.bin -v
If that is in correct, may I have the exact command I should use?

It is now LG WH16NS60 1.00 firmware only because I thought the grinding was related to the 1.02MK firmware. Anyway, just want to know if this is possible without messing up my drive. If it will work, is there a download of the 1.03 firmware I can use to do this? If I could please just get a yes or no answer, this will work or not, and not ask why I am wanting to do this.
Thanks.
Great, thanks!
You would need to flash the drive to WH16NS40 1.02-MK first as the official LG flasher for the WH16NS40 won't find your drive until it is on WH16NS40 firmware. Also, just so you are aware, if you flash it back to stock WH16NS40 1.03 firmware, it will no longer be able to read UHD discs.
Okay, just so I am clear, it is possible to flash from WH16NS60 1.00 which is what I have now, back to WH16NS40 1.02MK using the SDFtool Flasher. Then use LG 1.03 firmware from their site and directions to flash back to 1.03. Yes, I am aware that it will no longer read UHD discs.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 11:12 pmYou would need to flash the drive to WH16NS40 1.02-MK first as the official LG flasher for the WH16NS40 won't find your drive until it is on WH16NS40 firmware. Correct. I'm not sure if there is a WH16NS40 1.02-MK. I think it might be DE_WH16NS40_1.02. Anyway, you must flash to WH16NS40 1.02 or 1.01 firmware before you are able to use the original LG flasher to upgrade to stock 1.03.jt5298 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 11:40 pmOkay, just so I am clear, it is possible to flash from WH16NS60 1.00 which is what I have now, back to WH16NS40 1.02MK using the SDFtool Flasher. I flashed the drive back to 1.02MK using the SDFtool Flasher. I downloaded the 1.03 exe file from LG site. When I extract the zip file. It only opens in H-L Data Storage program, which I believe is the old flasher tool. I can't seem to open the file in another application. I can't find the H-L program on my computer to delete it. LG website says the exe file will open and I need to click the red update button. I can't get to this step because it keeps opening in this other program. It shows the file location but I can't find it there to delete it.jt5298 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 12:04 amThank you.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 12:03 amCorrect.jt5298 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 11:40 pm
