well it looks like its on 1.00 of something but of what as the buffalo case hides that does the tray still eject?

The drive works fine except for some discs. This is why I wanted to change FW to 1.03MK but can't for the life of me.

The drive works fine except for some discs. This is why I wanted to change FW to 1.03MK but can't for the life of me.
The firmware most likely wouldn't make a difference anyway. You would have a better chance of getting a successful read by giving the disc a good clean with a microfiber cloth or soapy water and a microfiber cloth.

Yeah, this is what I have settled for as well.
Still so weird to not be able to flash the drive though.
