PM sent.Rudyard wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 11:01 pmGot another BDR-212DBK. MakeMKV shows the exact same info now as it showed with the previous unit, same firmware etc, so I just flashed the same files I already had, since they had been successfully flashed on the first unit. And this time, according to the flashing program, everything went OK too. But the unit won't read any BD disc, neither regular not UHD discs. It reads DVD, though.
I've flashed it again just in case, but to no avail. Maybe this is a faulty unit. I should have checked if it read BD discs before flashing, like I did with the previous unit... I'll probably need to return it. Is there any way I can flash the original firmware back?
Product: BD-RW BDR-212D
Revision: 1.02
Firmware date: 2022-03-16
Thanks in advance.

Re: BDR 212V UHD Guide
Hello,
I should be getting this drive tomorrow and just wanted to get some clarification. From what I can tell, we are not able to flash this particular drive ourselves and the instructions are only available through PM. Is this correct?
If not, can someone please point me to the correct files/instructions? I would like to start understanding the process in preparation for flashing the drive.
Thanks!

Post your Makemkv info when you receive it. Please try CDs, DVDs and BDs when it arrives. Sometimes people receive defective returned drives.jtuts wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 12:02 amHello,

@Coopervid
Okay, finally got this setup, here is info you requested:
BR - good
CD - good
DVD - good
UHD - no disc inserted (which I assume is expected) Thanks!
Edit: I also am using the Vantec NexStar DX2 enclosure, if that matters at all.

PM sent. Important when using an enclosure for flashing. Remove BOTH power and USB afterwards.jtuts wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 12:50 am@Coopervid
