Question Regarding Motherboard Compatibility With Downgrading Firmware

I want to rip movies, music, etc on to my PC, but my motherboard (MSI B450M PRO-M2) doesn't support IDE mode (it only supports AHCI and RAID).

Is there any way to downgrade the firmware of my optical drive without an IDE-supported motherboard?

Note: I'm new to this forum so apologies if I've posted in the wrong section, etc.

It has all the information you need. Hint...your information is wildly out of date if you're talking about IDE sata modes.
