You don't need any firmware you already have one that will workgamergomer wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 4:38 amJust got a new old stock BW-16D1HT that was manufactured in May of 2017 and has 3.01 on it. I want to rip uhd and bluray. What firmware do I put on it?
As Billycar11 said, 3.01 is already UHD compatible.gamergomer wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 4:38 amJust got a new old stock BW-16D1HT that was manufactured in May of 2017 and has 3.01 on it. I want to rip uhd and bluray. What firmware do I put on it?

Welcome!
Clean the disc
Thanks for the advice. I cleaned the disk with no success. Other UHD Discs still work, so I have purchased a second copy. It will be here Thursday, and hopefully I will have better luck with that.Billycar11 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 4:06 amClean the disc
Clean the laser on drive
Get new disc
Get new drive
that disc is a BD100 https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Forrest- ... ay/238592/ just because other UHD discs work does not mean BD 100s will most UHDs are BD 66
That's good info to know for the future. The UHD movie I tested, to see if the drive was still reading UHD at all, was Inception, which, according to the website you linked in your post, is also BD100.Billycar11 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 4:06 amthat disc is a BD100 https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Forrest- ... ay/238592/ just because other UHD discs work does not mean BD 100s will most UHDs are BD 66
