Hi Coopervid,

I'm ready to flash my drive, but I need the correct firmware file.
My drive is: PIONEER BD-RW BDR-212V 1.02 (Hardware SAT 8F00).

I have the BDRFlash tool ready, but the files I found are for S12JBK. Could you please send me the 1.01 bin file specifically for the BDR-212V (Vinpower) model?

I want to make sure I don't brick the drive by using the wrong version.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Coopervid,

I need to correct my previous message. My drive is actually on the RS8F00 platform, not 8F00. Here are the exact details from MakeMKV:

Product: BDR-212V

Revision: 1.02

Drive platform: Pioneer RS8F00

Firmware version: ID06

I tried using SDFtool Flasher with the S8F01431.102 file you mentioned, but it gave me an error: "The drive you have selected does not have the correct drive platform (MT1959) and cannot be flashed."

It seems my 212V is the newer revision. Could you please provide the correct firmware for the RS8F platform?

Thank you!

Again. You have everything you need. Make sure the drive is closed, no disc in drive and you use the force flash check box. And SDFTool flasher is pointless. You need to use BDRFlash. And you have TO FOLLOW THE TUTORIAL.
