You mean encrypted firmware. Green tick means encrypted.

You can flash it to BU40N 1.03-MK.
Thank you very much!
BU40N 1.03-MK from "mk-firmware-pack-20200720.zip" worked like a dream.

Yes, this is a LG drive. If it's a slim model, use BU40N 1.03-MK with SDFtool Flasher.
Cheers :D

Hi,

Just wanted to thank everyone here for the information and flash information. I successfully flashed my Asus SBW-06D5H-U with the LG BU40N 1.03 firmware. At first, I got an error with SDFTool Flasher which gave no furher information, But when I ran the Flash with makemkvcon64.exe it gave a helpful error that the tray was not closed. Once the tray was closed then the flash worked perfectly. Thank you to all invloved.

cheers
Nic :D

Hello, I have the exact same drive but where can I find the needed files? Like the .bin and SDF.bin (I'm very new to makemkv and this topic)

If you're looking for BU40N firmware and the SDFtool flasher, links to that stuff can be found in the Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide

Check what hardware platform you have. MT1959 is Hitachi-LG, and you have the SDFtool Flasher application there:

If you have RS8511, you need to write to Coopervid or Billy11 about the flasher.
