Hi guys,
I've got a Buffalo BRXL-PC6U2B-AP that i cannot get to work on my newest PC.
I don't know if it's a windows 11 thing or new hardware thing, but the drive works perfectly on an older PC running windows 10.
I FEEL like it's some sort of artificial limitation being imposed for some reason...

Do you guys know if there's some way to flash it to a version of FW that will allow it to work on my new PC? Or do i have to buy a new BD drive?

TIA
Post your makemkv drive info section
Actually, don't worry :) I just worked out that the drive has a double ended usb cable that the newer PC needs both..
BUT having said that.. is there anything i can do with this one to enable UHD?

Drive Information
OS device name: E:
Current profile: CD-RW
Manufacturer: BUFFALO
Product: Optical Drive
Revision: 2.00
Serial number: WP44 145787
Bus encryption flags: 1B

This is a Pioneer drive. You cannot flash this with the public tools. Contact Billycar11 and he should be able to help you.
Cheers :D

I can't read bluray discs at all... unless i start makemkv first... is that normal? Haven't tried any other software yet...
I would have though it would let me read a disc at least?

Edit: my external buffalo drive from earlier seems to be able to read discs without makemkv running...

close makemkv and insert disc.. nothing...

Edit:
