Good morning, I wanted to say hello. Please help. I can buy a used Pioneer BDR-S09XLT drive for USD 170. Two purchase offers. One was manufactured in 2018 and the other in 2015. Which one should I choose to work with LibreDrive?
Thank you for your commitment.

1. Personally, I would not buy a used drive and definitely not at that price!
2. Regarding those 2, the manufacture date doesn’t really matter. It’s the date of the current firmware on the drive that matters. You would need the MakeMKV drive info and libredrive info sections to be able to tell if a drive is compatible.
Cheers :D

OK, thanks for the quick reply. I won't buy either of them.

No one is stopping you. If you really need an internal drive, you have little choice these days. Just saying, we need to see the MakeMKV drive info & libredrive info sections before we can say a drive can/will be libredrive compatible.

OK. I'll ask again:
Pioneer BDR-213ULBK, new, firmware 1.02 (unlocked), price $550. Is it worth it?

Only you can determine if it is worth that much. If it is brand new with libredrive enabled, UHD compatible firmware, then maybe.
