Thank you! (Too new here to reply to PM)
Re: Pioneer RS8F00
I also have an ASUS BW-16D1X-U, but the Drive platform is listed as a: Pioneer RS8F00. I am new to the forum, but I figured posting in an existing one that best matched my situation might make more sense.
This is my drive information with the Serial number omitted :
I tried to review the main thread "Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025", but this drive is not listed, but one like it is listed, but it sort of indicated it would be an LG, but based on the info it is a Pioneer RS8F00. Anyhow I got a little confused and figured I might ask some question before proceeding in an effort to avoiding any chance at bricking it.
Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks.

Re: Pioneer RS8F00
Hi I also just got this drive and am hoping to get UHD working with it, normal backup of BR/DVD is working great, no updates have been done on the device. Currently using a Mac M2 if that makes any difference. The drive info to confirm it's the same as others in this thread:

Re: Pioneer RS8F00
Hello,
Also have a rebranded Asus(BW-16D1X-U E113) Pioneer RS8F00 ID76 from 2020.
Since it isnt a LG, i can't follow the UHD flash guide. And would appreciate every information about the process with Pioneer drives.
I know its possible, but cant find the tools or firmwares.

Re: Pioneer RS8F00
I started MakeMKV as admin and now it is Status enabled.
It has a Pioneer BDR-212T firmware.
Guess it was a lucky shot and compatible by default.
