Hi everyone, great to see this thread is alive and well.
I happen to get my hands on a few BDR209. According to this thread, looks like it can be flashed but will leave that to the experts. Here is the info from makemkv.
One question that would be helpful to know, can I use the same FW flash for other BDR209 drives just with a different S/N?

Hi sir, got your PM. Maybe because it is a fresh account, I could not reply?Coopervid wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 8:08 pmPM sent.bionicbuk wrote: ↑Tue Nov 25, 2025 7:30 pmHi everyone, great to see this thread is alive and well.

Is it possible to use the same flash for other BDR209 drives just with a different S/N and all other things considered equal? Revision, encryption flags, drive platform, firmware version appear to all be the same.
Thank you.
Edit: my mistake, I assumed they were all the same. Two are 1.20 FW:

Re: Longshot with Pioneer BDR-209D
Yes. As long as it reports RS8600 as drive platform. RS8601 needs a different package.
