When I click the Start button, nothing happens.
Anyone experience this? Any advice would greatly be appreciated!

Bought a few years ago from someone on here (can't remember who). It works for a bit then starts to make grinding noises. I'm wondering if it is overheating.
Can you post what MakeMKV shows for the drive?Mark Alexis wrote: ↑Thu Oct 23, 2025 8:11 pmHey guys,
Forgive me if this question has been answered elsewhere, but I can't seem to find any documentation on it. Relative n00b here... I'm trying to flash a (supposedly) new ASUS BW-16D1HT, but the tool tells me the drive is not on the MT-1959 platform. This is a new one to me. I actually successfully flashed another one of these about six weeks ago. The present copy was built December '23 and ordered off Amazon (delivered unsealed, by the way). Windows Explorer recognizes the drive, but MakeMKV won't. I'm using a Vantec USB enclosure, if that makes any difference.
Any thoughts? Is the drive faulty, or the enclosure perhaps?
Thanks.
It’s not even recognizing it. I can only see it in Explorer.dcoke22 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 23, 2025 11:53 pmCan you post what MakeMKV shows for the drive?Mark Alexis wrote: ↑Thu Oct 23, 2025 8:11 pmHey guys,

FWIW: A YouTuber I communicate with on the topic thinks the drive might be counterfeit and urged me to return it ASAP, which I will do. It's a shame, because I was hoping for some future proofing. It looks like they're running out of stock fast now.Mark Alexis wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 12:31 amIt’s not even recognizing it.
