This is your issue. MakeMKV needs Internet access to download the hashed keys. Ensure you have allowed internet access in preferences and that your system is not geo blocking Russia as that's where the keys are hosted. Usually, running MakeMKV through a VPN helps with this.
Cheers

Use whatever VPN you want. Just select a country that works. You may need to try a couple.pmccarenko wrote: ↑Wed Sep 24, 2025 11:53 pmThank you very much for your advise. Re: Pioneer bdr 209 and Pioneer bdr 209m
Does anyone know how reliable the BDR-209DBK drives on eBay that come from China tend to be? Considering how difficult it is to source one in the US I didn't know if it is worth the gamble, but I want to come up with some solution since my 6-month old LG WH14NS40 seems to have a lot of issues standard bluray discs (although I've had good luck with UHD discs).
Some of them are as little as $60 for a supposedly "new" drive, like this example:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/167751376420
Here's an older unit but listed by a seller with a pretty good rating (based off a lot of reviews):
https://www.ebay.com/itm/134602374771
Another option I would consider is this Pioneer BDR-S09XLB since it sounds like it is possible to update for UHD ripping:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/205415512797
Thanks for thoughts - and HUGE thanks to the folks who've put in work getting UHD ripping to work

Want to crossflash my BDR-209M with S11 FW
Hi guys,
I'm a DVDFab user.
I want to crossflash my existing Pioneer BDR-209M to a BDR-S11JBK to make it UHD capable/friendly. I found a post where someone of you said he would own 4 drives and all of them have been crossflashed to a BDR-S11 successfully. My question is how to do that? I can't find the neccessary bin file anywhere on the internet. Could someone please help or provide the neccessary file to me?
My drive is Libre enabled (please check the attached Info file of my drive)
Is it possible to flash with SDFtool flasher or do I need BDR flash?
Someone here says one would need 2 files. A kernel file and another one...
https://forum.cdrinfo.pl/showpost.php?p ... tcount=780
So I'm a bit confused. Can someone please assist?
Thank you in advance
