Thanks for your response!
Here is the current drive information from MakeMKV:
Drive Information:
OS device name: E:
Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: BW-16D1HT
Revision: 3.10
Serial number: KL8K9OG0037
Firmware date: 2019-01-04 10:14
Bus encryption flags: 1F
LibreDrive Information:
Status: Possible (with patched firmware)
Drive platform: MT1959
Hardware support: Yes
Firmware support: No
Firmware type: Original (patched version available)
Firmware version: 3.10
DVD all regions: Possible (with patched firmware)
BD raw data read: Possible (with patched firmware)
BD raw metadata read: Possible (with patched firmware)
Unrestricted read speed: Possible (with patched firmware)
No disc inserted.
I accidentally flashed the 3.10 firmware and would like to downgrade to 3.02 (or LibreDrive-compatible version) via UART. I have a DSD TECH SH-U09C adapter and I'm ready to follow the correct flashing steps.
Thanks again for your help!

Hello,
but I need a UART flasher for that, right?
Also, I might have missed it – could you please point me to the exact guide? The forum is quite large and a bit confusing.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
I flashed my drive a few months ago, and am on Windows 11. After flashing, I was able to rip UHD, but now, the PC is not able to recognize the drive.
I see the device register as "USB to ATA/ATAPI Bridge" when I plug it in, and nothing registers in MakeMKV when I open it (MakeMKV version 1.18.1).
Is it something with Windows 11 that old firmware won't work on it? Also idk if there is a way to re-flash the device?

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
I'm looking to buy an ASUS BW-16D1HT drive. They seem to be out of stock at many UK retailers at the moment with new stock expected soon. Is there any danger that when new stock arrives the firmware will be too new to flash to a UHD friendly version or should that not be a concern?

OK thanks for that. I'm on vacation next week so doubtful a new drive could be delivered before I go so hopefully by the time I get back there will be a new beta key or purchasing new keys will be available again.MartyMcNuts wrote: ↑Fri Aug 08, 2025 11:36 pmno, doubtful.elverdiblanco wrote: ↑Fri Aug 08, 2025 9:48 amI'm looking to buy an ASUS BW-16D1HT drive.
