I recently acquired a Pioneer BDR-209D (MakeMKV info below) and would like to use it to rip some movies I have on 4K to my PC, as I do not own a 4K-capable player at the moment. I've read around the forum for some time and it seems like the point where I should end up is having the firmware of a Pioneer BDR-S11 flashed on my drive. Would you be able to help me out any further with this? I would have loved to solve this by myself and hate to take up some of your time, but it is much appreciated. Wishing you a good one!
Regards,
Hot Potato

Received your PM and sent a small donation your way for providing the help. In case anything is wrong I'll let you know, but it should go well from here. Thanks and have an amazing day!
I tried to flash the software several times across the last couple of days, however I am encountering an issue where the software to flash tells me it fails to enter kernel mode. I attached some screenshots below that might aid in figuring out what is going on. Could it possibly be due to my virtual machine configuration? Through a VM is my preferred method, would you know settings I need to look out for? Specifically I use Oracle's Virtualbox on Linux. Your help so far has been much appreciated!
