Firmware date: 2017-04-18

Highest AACS version: 71

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8510

Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.10/ID22

I would like to flash it to make it UHD-friendly. I checked viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634 and downloaded the "all you need firmware pack" but I do not know which firmware in the pack is the correct one for my drive. Can you please help me?

hello all,

Newbie here.

I just purchased this drive, the ASUS SBW-06D2X-U with build date of July 2024. I've tried to copy my personal 3D blu-rays with with makemkv so that I can stream them with my NAS/Server instread of using my clunkly blu-ray player but the process failed everytime. It would start, and after sometime, it would just end in failure.

I'm using everything stock.

Do I need to "flash" this drive, or why do I need to flash this drive, what does it add and will this solve the issues I was having? I know thats hard to answer without logs.

I'm not interested in 4K blu-rays, as im strickly using this for a 3D movie collection (which are all 1080p).

thanks for your help
