Hello friends

Please Help :)

Problem: My Verbatim 43888 drive can only read DVDs, not BR or UHD.

Has something been flashed?
What do I need to do to make it work?

Are you sure the drive which is shown is a Verbatim 43888? The drive on the screen seems to be a pure DVD drive. HP labeled or original LiteOn I think.

You have not selected your Verbatim 43888 drive in MakeMKV's drop-down. MakeMKV has selected your DVD drive instead.

Yep, try selecting the correct drive. The one chosen is not a Verbatim 43888.
Cheers :D

Do you have more than one optical drive connected to your computer?

no ... have Imac 27" without optical drive
I bought the drive used. Is it possible that someone flashed the wrong fw in to the drive?

More likely, they sold you a different drive and thought you wouldn't care about the model number.

Check the sticker on the backside. First five numbers of the serial number?

Or it's a enclosure of a 43888 but with a wrong drive inside.

If the sticker states it's a Verbatim 43888, the seller either changed the sticker or changed the drive in the enclosure.
Based on the inlcuded drive, MakeMKV should either show a Pioneer BDR-UD04 or an LG BD-RE BU40N.

Can I ask what you paid for the drive?

A different drive is installed.
I've already gotten my money back; the seller obviously had no idea about it ;)
