I'm having a similar issue. Can you let me know what you did to fix the Drive and firmware hardware types don't match error? https://imgur.com/a/47Rg7gA
Thanks.

Are you sure that no disc was in drive and tray was closed?louisefindlay23 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 11:38 amI'm having a similar issue. Can you let me know what you did to fix the Drive and firmware hardware types don't match error? https://imgur.com/a/47Rg7gA

See attached MakeMKV output, and I have a PC to do any required flashing.

Re: Pioneer BDR-UD03 UHD possibility
Yes. I've just double and triple-checked and there's no disc in the drive and the tray is closed. Using Windows 11 as the OS and plugged both USB ports into 3.0 ports if that helps.Coopervid wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 4:38 pmAre you sure that no disc was in drive and tray was closed?louisefindlay23 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 11:38 amI'm having a similar issue. Re: Pioneer BDR-UD03 UHD possibility
Generally asked:
Are there any differences between
- BDR-UD03
- BDR-UD03B
- BDR-UD03TBD
?
Are the B and TBD flashable to BDR-UD04 like the BDR-UD03 when the firmware is older then 12/2022?
MakeMKV information not available, but perhaps there are any empirical values?
I could get one of them for a friend who has an empty enclosure since his BU40N is gone.

Re: Pioneer BDR-UD03 UHD possibility
Not really. The only thing seems to be the firmware version should be 8510 or 8511. It looks like 8591 (see above) is not flashable. Maybe the author forgot to add this or nobody has it tried before so 8591 is excluded.zittrig wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 7:35 amGenerally asked:

Many thanks. I appreciate your help. I've responded (I think). The quote icon is to reply? Anyway, I'd like to try it.Coopervid wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 12:13 pmRead your PM.louisefindlay23 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 9:09 pmYes.
