Hello again. I've got a second Pioneer drive. At first I thought it was another BDR-212V, but alas, it happens to be a BDR-212DBK. Is there anything I can do to enable UHD on this one? Just in case, this is what MakeMKV says about the drive:

Drive Information
OS device name: D:
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-212D
Revision: 1.02
Serial number:
Firmware date: 2022-03-16
Bus encryption flags: 13
Highest AACS version: 77

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8F00
Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-212T
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.02/ID61
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes

Thank you in advance.

Thank you. It worked :)

I've got a question, though. Does this firmware downgrade enable, by any chance, the ability to write BDXL media?

Yes, it does. However the DBK uses a plastic lens for the laser instead of a glass lens compared with the 212 drives that are BDXL enabled from the factory. So it is a little less precise regarding writing. But if you want to burn BDXL you should regardless use this method with spare areas anyway.
