Hello everyone,
I'm new here. I bought a drive: PIONEER BD-RW BDR-XS07 (revision 1.01) and would like to flash it for UHD on my Mac OS15.2.

Is this possible or only under Windows?

Thank you in advance

Greetings, Klaus

Can't be flashed as you have the dreaded post 11/2022 firmware. Return it.
Cheers :D

Ok thanks.

I guess I will just return it and get one of those drives at the beginning of this post - viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634 and avoid Pioneer's as they seem to be a guessing game.

Get the Verbatim 43888 from Germany Amazon as it still contains a Pioneer BDR-UD04 inside.

I have the Pioneer External Blu-ray Drive BDR-XS07UHD is there a way to get this to read the 4k UHD movies? I get the following error.

Code: Select all

Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT ESTABLISHED' occurred while issuing SCSI command AD010..080002400 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom1'
Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:CANNOT WRITE MEDIUM - INCOMPATIBLE FORMAT' occurred while issuing SCSI command A30..0020..03F to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom1'
Thanks!

Don't live in Germany or EU. From USA that model was not available anyways. I bought this.

I'll XXX out the serial number... don't know why - but everybody here seems to be doing it. Its an archgon external from Amazon's usa website.
