Hey all,
Going through some old boxes and found an LG BP50NB40 NB40, but it was manufactured in Sept 2014. All the guides I'm looking at say it must be 2016 or later so I'm curious if there is a way to make this work for ripping modern Blu-rays? Or should I just chuck it and get something newer?
Model: BP50NB40
SVC Code: NB40
Manufactured: September 2014
ROM version: 1.00

If MakeMKV shows the drive platform is MT1959 and you are willing to risk breaking it, you could try and flash it.Donutt007 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 5:41 pmHey all,

The main thing is the drive platform. If it's not MT1959 don't bother going any further.
Cheers
