Thanks Coopervid.

I was planning to purchase a license instead of a donation. I am just starting my journey into Plex Media server and have a lot to process including audio CDs. I have 16TB of storage and cloud backup.

A licence will not fix your drive. Post your Makemkv info.

I used the drive inside a OWC Mercury PRO enclosure , usb attached .
No info about Highest AACS version :roll:

Which steps should I take in order to flash my drive ?

I'm new to the forum , I don't think I am able to get PMs.

@Coopervid
It worked like a charm , even with the drive inside the OWC Mercury PRO usb enclosure , with Windows inside a Qemu VM .

Now UHD discs work . :D

Hi,

I just started getting into backing up Blu-ray, I have mix of regular and UHD Blu-rays. Read that the pioneer drives are the best. Also that I should get any drive with firmware before Dec 2022. So I went ahead and purchase a Pioneer BDR-212V, Verbatim 43890 (BDR-UD03), and a BDR-XD05S since all these are made before 2022. Bought a few to test out which one is better. Both the 212V and 43890 works with standard Blu-ray but not UHD, don't have the XD05 yet. I would like to enable UHD to at least one of these.

Not sure how this work but any help is greatly appreciated.
