its not a bu40n drive, but i just connected this really old drive (just laying there in my computer accessories drawer) just for info purposes.

if you can only have the option of using Amazon.de, then the link below is the same product, but obviously much more expensive.

Thank you for your advice! I ordered a similar device at amazon (the dealer from the the link you shared does not deliver to Germany...) and I will report back once I have connected the BU40n directly to my PC. Have a nice day!

That was exactly the device I ordered, thanks for the links and all the picutres :-) By the way, very nice blue fairy, I guess it does all the magic for you?

Its working! So don't use USB, but connect the BU40N with a SATA adapter directly to your PC.
