Is it possible to flash this drive to be able to read UHD Blurays?

Code: Select all

Drive Information
OS device name: D:
Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: SBW-06D2X-U
Revision: A102
Serial number: [redacted]
Firmware date: 2121-06-28 13:41
Bus encryption flags: 1F
Highest AACS version: 62

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: MT1959

No disc inserted
I didn't know about this UHD stuff and bought the only Bluray burner in the store.
Actually ... the firmware date looks weired.

Good Evening All, I have same model Drive and i was trying to see which f/w i would flash, I have downloaded the asus flasher and the f/w pack..just dont know which one to use.

Drive Information
OS device name: H:
Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: SBW-06D2X-U
Revision: 1.10
Serial number: [redacted]
Firmware date: 2017-04-18

Also wondering the fact that it says "Drive platform: Pioneer RS8511" dose that mean that its a Pioneer drive?

Yes, it's a Pioneer drive. The old Asus flasher isn't compatible.
Cheers :D

There is no public flasher tool available for Pioneer drives. You could try contacting Billycar11. He may be able to do something for you.
