Thanks a lot. Works. The old 1.03 Firmware seemed to have a lot of bugs. They are also gone now.

Hello Coopervid,

I got a UD03 not realizing it didn't support 4k natively. Would really appreciate being able to add that.

hi I have a "Pioneer BDR-UD03B" with BDXL icon on it. I try to read a UHD disc and it doesn't work. Is it possible to make it recognize UHD discs and rip them?

sorry, I'm new and I have now purchased a Verbatim with this Pioneer BDR-UD03 with firmware 1.14 inside
I know you will PM me to read 4K discs

This drive is already UHD capable.
Thanks for the info. I tested it with one UHD disk already and it didn't work, but I will try again with a different disk and on Windows and will report back :)

Let it read in by the OS and only then start the program.

It works ! Didn't even have to change to Windows and with the same disk, just a bit of patience before opening MakeMKV, thanks for that tip :)
I had no idea they still sold drives with old enough firmware, what a nice surprise.
