Hi Coopervid,

I have the same model as the other users in this thread. I purchased a license for MakeMKV but this forum doesn't allow new registrants with a low post count to initiate PMs.

Could you kindly send me a PM and I will respond promptly with the complete MakeMKV info. Thanks for offering to help us!
Please copy & paste your Makemkv information here (just the text from the status). You are not yet allowed to send PMs therefore that doesn't work.

Coopervid,
thank you very very much for your PM!

The drive has a UHD support now.
FYI, it worked directly, no need for 2 steps process; with the OEM enclosure connected through a USB cable to the PC.

I have another Asus BW-12D1S-U which seems to have Pioneer drive. It reads, plays, and writes blu-ray discs.
Is there anything that can be done to make this one to recognize UltraHD discs?

The profile info from MakeMKV are following:

Drive Information
OS device name: N:
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: BW-12D1S-U
Revision: E102
Serial number: xxxxxxxxx
Firmware date: 2011-05-06
Bus encryption flags: 13
Highest AACS version: 81

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, but very unlikely to happen
Drive platform: Pioneer RS1030
Firmware version: ID71
-----------------------------------------------------

Note:
I noticed that Asus has a BW-16D1X-U FW Updater, Version E102, 2018/04/17, on its support website for its newer model BW-16D1X-U (which has either a LG or Pioner drive inside now). Is there a possibility that FW could be used on Pioneer platform RS1030 as well?
