SDFtool Flasher
Re: SDFtool Flasher
Hello,
I'm trying to flash my LG WH16NS40 v 1.05 using the latest SDFtool Flasher. The dropdown doesn't recognize my drive. It shows as installed in the device manager.
Not sure what to do.

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Is MakeMKV installed? The tool is a front-end for MakeMKV's native flash tool.

Just installed it, sorry.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: SDFtool Flasher
Hello, I have been trying to figure out what I did wrong here. I have the Lg BP50NB40 and I thought I followed the steps correctly by using the SDFtool Flasher to write the BP50NB40 (NB50) 1.03-MK. file from the customer firmware pack then to use recovery to the same file. Then to write the BP60NB10 1.00-MK file. Did I miss something? Thank you in Advanced

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Yes, you didn't do the recovery process correctly. Also I recommend you use the BU40N 1.00 firmware as it is better than the BP60NB10 firmware.djs1394xd wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 5:53 pmHello, I have been trying to figure out what I did wrong here. Select your drive. When you select recovery, in the popup window, select the BP50NB40 firmware you have currently on the drive. Now in the normal firmware dropdown box, select the BU40N 1.00 firmware and press START.
Cheers

Hi Marty,
I'm trying the flasher on a Win10 Enterprise and it's crashing. Is there any update?
Here's the info:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Re: SDFtool Flasher
Before you begin, ensure you have MakeMKV v1.15.2 or greater installed and that the drive is empty and tray closed.Buzzlite1926 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 2:11 amStill error code 0x82052603......sooo nothing is working
To flash the BP50NB40 SVC:NB52, using the latest SDFtool Flasher, follow the steps below:
1. Flash the drive to BP50NB40 (NB50) 1.03-MK.
Now for the cross-flash:
2. Select the RECOVERY option and in the pop up window, select the BP50NB40 (NB50) 1.03-MK firmware that you just flashed.
3. Select the BU40N 1.00 firmware in the normal drop box.
4. Click START
If you follow these steps exactly it should work.
Cheers

Re: SDFtool Flasher
So what was your problem? Cause those steps are exactly what is written in the first post of this thread, which is what I have been telling you to follow.

Re: SDFtool Flasher
It was installing the DG firmware directly instead of putting the LG 1.03 THEN DG firmware.
