Hello,
I just downloaded the flasher tool. I am trying to downgrade my LG WH16NS40 to v 1.02. I get this error message write DRAM NG 5/26/03. It freezes up and I can't do anything. Can someone please help me try to figure this out?
Thanks
Follow the guide it does not say to flash that firmware
Not sure I understand. My firmware is 1.04, I need to downgrade to 1.02 to make it UHD friendly. When I use the flasher tool I get this pop-up DRAM NG 5/26/03. Why am I getting this pop-up? How can I get it to downgrade successfully?
Okay I downloaded the latest SDFtool Flasher 1.3.5. Tried to flash my drive and got this: Command produced error code 0x82052603. Is it just not possible to downgrade my drive?

you can get it to downgrade successfully by reading the guide not skimming and glancing at it you are reading the wrong model name you are seeing WH16NS40 1.02 but the guide says WH16NS60 1.02 the use the all you need firmware pack it will simplify things for you
Hi, I've got an LG-BP55EB40 that has previously been flashed with BP60NB10 v1.00mk. I've been trying to update the firmware using the flasher tool, but always get an error 0xff056103. Not sure what im doing / not doing that is wrong?

Got it to work flashing to WH16NS60 1.02. Yes I was skimming and glancing, sorry. One thing, do I need to flash to the WH16NS40 1.02 now, or just leave as is? I am ripping a movie now and the drive is slowing and starting quite often. Making a grinding noise if you will. Is this normal? I have never had it do this so often ripping a movie with a different software. I don't think this is the "sleep bug" I am ripping a Blu-ray disc not UHD. The door is not opening and closing. It's just making grinding noises as it rips the disc. Do I need to downgrade again to 1.00, or 1.01?
Thanks

The following output was received to downgrade from 1.02 for my LG drive:

However, MakeMKV still reports firmware 1.02, and I get:

Saved AACS dump file as C:\Users\bcook/.MakeMKV/MKB20_v68_The_Dark_Knight_2247.tgz

Subsequent attempts result in the following output:

You must first flash 1.02 MK before you can flash 1.00. And why don't you use the SDFFlasherTool?
I'm not sure how I can obtain the 1.02 MK. Can you send a link? Thanks!
Hello Guitrdone,
Use Marty's SDFflasher to flash your drive. Use this file in the folder labelled HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936 to flash your drive to 1-02mk. If you then want to flash to WH16NS60 1-00DE then use the file in the other folder labelled DE_LG WH16NS60_1.00. You must flash with 1-02mk first then 1-00DE
Please use this link below to use Marty's SDF Flasher to flash your drive.
