Archgon Drive won't accept flash

Post by jvenard »

I have been trying to flash my Archgon MD 8107 U3. It is currently 1.0. However, it will not rip any 4K discs without a ton of errors. I decided to look into updating firmware to MK. I am using the latest 1.34 loader, but I get the same bad command message. It does have a red X by Encrypted, however, it is old enough that it should not be encrypted. By tapping on the X it places a green checkmark instead. I have tried all of the BU40N, but no luck. Her is the info on the drive via MKV

Current Profile: BDROM
Mfg: HL-DT-ST
Product. BD-RE BU40N
Firmware: 2116-12-20 15:28 Yes, it says 2116
Bus Encription flags: 17
Highest AACS version: 76

Libre Drive Info:
Status: Enabled
DR Plat: MT1959
Firmware Type: original (unpatched)
Firmware Version: 1.00

Is it possible this firmware is Encrypted?

It is not encrypted. Please try to flash 1.0 from the DE firmware w/o "enc".

Here is a link to my DE firmware pack:

Please report if that helped or not.
