Question for the BU40N guys.

Do you recommend a specific firmware for these drives?
I am running the 1.03 from The all you need firmware pack and on Certain Discs (Blu-Ray) I get errors in the final product, lots of artifacts like vertical multi color lines and missing frames. usually during an action scene, lots of flashing back and forth.

I run the same disc in my pioneer BDR-XS07U and it comes out fine. no problems

Maybe its just a flaw in the discs that I can't see, and the Pioneer reads it better. I am unsure

So before I go re-flash to a different firmware I figure I would ask people who have a lot more more experience than myself.

That should not happen if makemkv reports no errors the copy should be fine
