Another thing that is strange is I was attempting to go to firmware 1.00MK. I figured once 1.02MK was installed, all I had to do was another flash and it should work. I first tried without checking "ENC", it didn't work. I tried by checking ENC and it still didn't work. I feel like I am missing something here.
With these BP60NB10's with SVC: NB12, to downgrade to 1.00-MK firmware try the below steps.
1. Flash the drive with BP60NB10 1.02-MK.
2. Using the recovery option in SDFtool Flasher, select BP60NB10 1.02-MK as the incorrect firmware in the popup, then in the select firmware box, select BP60NB10 1.00-MK.
Cheers

Thank you so much Marty and other posters for the information. After reading through everything it only took 30 seconds to flash a newly bought WH16NS60 with OWC Pro enclosure
Error code showed up like other users mentioned, but MK1.03 was successfully flashed to MK1.02 and I'm ripping my first 4K UHD

Hello everyone,
I got an LG Hitachi - BH16NS55 and wanted to use the SDFtool Flasher (1st post) and the recommended firmware (HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936)
When selecting the device I will get an error window (

You should have first flashed to BH16NS55 1.0x and only then cross-flash it to BH16NS60. If you spent money for the DVDfab flasher you were too impatient.

It looks like you are using a sata/USB adapter, which is causing the issue. (Notice the drive says Asmedia instead of BH16NS55)

Didnt buy it just because of this, had it before already, and just discovered it

Hi,
I have a ASUS BW-16D1HT connected to my laptop via usb / Sata, please see information about the drive here: (Screenshot 1)
Screenshot 1 screenshot 1 _ makemkv drive info.PNG (24.21 KiB) Viewed 11890 times
I see that the firmware isn't encrypted as per this screenshot obtained via the SDFtool (Screenshot 2)
Screenshot 2 screenshot 2 _ sdftool drive info.PNG (25.78 KiB) Viewed 11890 times
Although I tried flashing the drive using the ASUS flash tool, it was throwing "Updating Failure #5". Will the SDFTool be able to help?
I am keen to knwo how do I proceed?
Thanks in advance.

It is encrypted use the command line flasher and use enc or download an old version of sdf GUI
It would also be helpful if you read the firmware and send it to Marty he could then add it to the list

Thanks @Billycar11.
Could you please guide how do I use the command line flasher and which firmware version do I use? Apologies if this has been answered before as I am new to all this, what is "enc"?
I also have the read dump of the firmware and happy to send it to Marty.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not aware of any ASUS drives having encrypted firmware. Try flashing it to ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.10-MK using SDFTool flasher. It willl either flash successfully or it will not flash at all.
If the firmware is infact encrypted (I still doubt it) you can easily toggle the encrypted flag in SDFtool flasher by clicking on the red X.
Cheers
