Help needed flashing a Buffalo BRXL-PT6U2VB-US drive

Total newb here, and I need help.

I have a Buffalo BRXL-PT6U2VB-US with revision BN11. (manufactured Jan 2019). I am new to flashing and retired, so treat me like a total newb.
I use a MacBook Pro, but have a real old windows 7 I can blow the dust off if needed.

Can someone help me to flash this so I can use Makemkv work to back up my 4k blue rays onto a hard drive ?

I see some people have mentioned a Modified Asus/LG flasher. Is that still valid ? What do I flash ?

If someone could walk me through this it would be helpful. I read a lot but my head is swimming.

See the guide below it should be a BU40N follow the firmware for that make sure you meet the requirements.
Or get an automated flasher from me or Marty that flashes it for you.
