New Asus BW-16D1HT not reading ANY discs even in Windows 10

Hello everyone,

I purchased this drive a few days ago and it is not reading any dics in Windows 10 or MakeMKV even with the pre-loaded original firmware 3.10.

I have been troubleshooting this issue and made the following changes so far.

# Before any modification #

- Initially came with an unpatched 3.10 firmware
- Drive appears in Windows but does not read ANY disc (BD, DVD, et.)
- No disc message in MakeMKV

# Update to 3.10 MK #

- Flashed 3.10 MK with ASUS tool https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 16&t=18933
- Drive appears in Windows but does not read ANY disc (BD, DVD, et.)
- No disc message in MakeMKV

# Downgrade to 3.02 DE #

- Flashed 3.02 DE with ASUS tool https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 16&t=18933
- Drive appears in Windows but does not read ANY disc (BD, DVD, et.)
- No disc message in MakeMKV

# Update to 3.03 MK #

- Flashed 3.03 MK with ASUS tool https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 16&t=18933
- Drive appears in Windows but does not read ANY disc
- No disc message in MakeMKV

I have downgraded again to 3.02 just in case the drive came DOA and I need to return it. Also, this is the current info displayed in MakeMKV:

- The drive was manufactured in 29th February 2020
- Connected to the PC with the adapter Unitek Y-1039
- I tried to connect the drive with a SATA cable and to the power supply but the issue persisted
- I have also tried MakeMKV 1.15.1 and 1.15.3 but no luck so far.

Any help would be really appreciated.

I think I have the same problem even though it was working fine for 1 year, probably a windows update ?
