Did you also email the dump to svq@makemkv.com so a hashed key can be made for it?

I didn't know that was part of the process. I'll do that now.

Thanks

Have you tried downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV?

Thanks, I will give it a try.
But isn't it supposed to download updates like this automatically?
I've bene using for years and it usually just downloads some file on the Mac named "_private", or some approximation thereof.

:D

There are two key databases, and the "hashed keys" inside _private_data.tar are indeed managed automatically. However, KEYDB.cfg is an alternative key database that MakeMKV can use, should the file be available in MakeMKV's data directory. The KEYDB.cfg file can often be updated more rapidly that the "hashed keys", and so it's worth having both databases available.

I tried to rip the disc again yesterday and it worked great. I noticed during the loading process it downloaded a new database and that one had the key. If you haven't tried in a couple of days, try again and it should work. If it still doesn't, your disc may be different and you'll need to provide a dump file for it.
